Facebook launches Messenger application on computers-allowing 8 Person online meeting at the same time.
According to Tech Crunch , on April 2, Facebook launched the Messenger application for computers on both Apple Mac and Windows operating systems. The reason is because the "big" social network has seen the change of users. Evidence is that in the last month on the web browser, the number of users calling voice and video via Messenger increased by 100%.
The Messenger app is available for download both on macOS and Windows.
Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg said, "We are looking for solutions to better align ourselves even when we are physically separated."
Specifically, the Messenger application for computers also includes the same features as Messenger on the website, but with greater convenience.
A year ago, information about the Messenger desktop application was announced at the company's F8 conference. This year, because of the complexity of the Covid-19 translation, Facebook launched new products without having to organize epic events.
However, the computer version of Facebook Messenger still has certain disadvantages, namely that up to 8 members can make group video calls at the same time. Meanwhile, the Zoom Cloud Meetings app can allow up to 500 people to join the meeting. Perhaps the Facebook Messenger computer version is only suitable for small-scale meetings.
